Mentros-creating risk assessment

Enter MentROS risk assessment

To create a new risk assessment, press + Risk and vulnerability analysis or go via examples (see further down the page)

1. Create or select a risk area

You start by selecting a risk area. Here, you can choose from predefined examples or create your own. A risk area serves as a high-level classification or categorization for the ROS analyses.

When you begin a risk analysis, you will be guided through five simple steps. There are help texts available for filling out the form, along with additional information under the question mark icons.

Next, you fill in what you want to assess or the name of the risk analysis. Here, you can choose to use examples from Mentor HMS by clicking Go to examples.

Once you have added what is to be assessed, you can add participants. As you start typing, users already registered in your Mentor HMS system will appear, but you can also add other participants who are not connected to the system. Click Next to proceed.

If the risk analysis applies only to one or more departments within the organization, this can be specified under "Applies to."

2. Mapping

In step two, Mapping, you enter undesired events, causes, and optionally vulnerabilities, or revise/adapt the example you have chosen to use. Under Internal References, you can add the routines, emergency cards, and checklists you currently have that help reduce the risk of the undesired events being assessed. Click Next to continue.

3. Assessment

In step three, you assess the Likelihood and Consequences of the undesired events. Click the blue buttons and drag them sideways to view and select the different values. Click Next to continue.

4. Actions

In step four, you will see the risk level ranging from Very Low to Very High. If the risk level is assessed as Medium, High, or Very High, you will receive a recommendation to add actions. You can add actions directly at this stage and/or choose to Accept Risk, or proceed to the next step and add actions later if necessary. Click Next to continue.

5. Summary

In step five, you get an overview of the risk analysis and can save it.
