What is the difference between messages, SMS and email, and when do we use the different functions?

In messages, you can send out information to several people at once. When the parent replies to this thread, the answer will go to everyone who is in the group. You can send a message to one or more people or departments. We recommend using the message function when you need to inform parents. For example, “children are missing diapers” or “Remember the parent meeting tomorrow at 6pm”.

When you send an SMS, it will go to several people if you choose, but you will receive individual responses. That is, the answers will go to the sender of the SMS and not all recipients. Sending out SMS costs 0.50, - per message per recipient. We recommend that you use this when you need to reach out to parents with short and very important messages. For example: “We have had a water leak in the nursery and unfortunately have to stay closed tomorrow. More information coming by email tonight.” E-mail is working as usual.

You can send emails to one or more and you will receive a reply to the email you choose to send from. We recommend that you use this feature to provide additional information, such as sending out weekly schedules or convening a parent meeting.

Can the kindergarten receive messages from parents?

Parents can respond to messages sent out from the kindergarten. If parents reply to the same thread started by the kindergarten, they are replying to everyone who is in the same message thread.

My employees occasionally work across departments, how do I register this in Mentor Kidplan?

If an employee works in several departments and needs access to registration in the child register and information about the child in the tile “Children and parents”, then the employee must have the access role “Department User”, and then it must be broken down for which departments the employee should have access to. See picture below. Access role can be found behind the tile “Employees”.

Why am I not receiving emails?

Double-check that the email address you have registered with is correct. If the address is correct and you still do not receive the email, it may have been marked as spam. Then you can check your spam/spam folder.

Why can't I get to log in to the Kidplan app?

The app is a parenting app. That means you have to be a parent of a child in kindergarten to be able to use the app. If you both work and have children in the same kindergarten, you must use two different emails to log in to the pages. One email to sign in as an employee, and another to sign in as a parent.

We have parents who have children in two different kindergartens using Mentor Kidplan, how do they access both kindergartens in the app?

When parents log into the app, they get up a choice about choosing which daycare they want to watch. If parents want to change kindergarten, they can change this by pressing the menu button. The image shows that the menu button is located in the upper right corner of this example. The location of the menu button will vary depending on which phone one is using, but the button is the same regardless.
