Setup organization - Rules for self certification

Under Settings - Rules for self certification you can set your company's maximum limit for self-reported sick leave. By default, we have set that an employee can make use of self-reports up to three days at a time, four times a year for the last twelve months. This means that counting self-report days does not follow the calendar year, but the last twelve months.

Three self-report days per case of absence and 4 cases a year is the minimum that your employee is entitled to according to the National Insurance Act, but you as a manager can allow more self-report days, as long as it is within the employer's period.

Expanded use of self-report

If the business practices extended right of self-reporting, such as the old “IA rule” then one chooses this tab sheet. Under this, the employee can take out a maximum of 8 days in an employer period and up to 24 individual days during the last 12 months. There are no restrictions on the number of times.

Custom

You can also choose to add custom rule sets if this suits your business better.

Here, one must choose whether to limit the number of days or the number of cases, as appropriate. Remember that the number of days/cases cannot be less than the legal requirement.
