Permissions

Permissions

Permissions in the shift plan and shift calendar are flexible and independent of the access role employees have in the system (except if you are an Administrator). This allows any employee to be given permission to create a shift schedule and make changes to the shift calendar.

When assigning permissions to employees in the shift schedule and the shift calendar, you can choose to set a time limit on this. One can grant permission for the entire business or for selected departments.

You can edit or delete a permission at any time, except for those who are an Administrator in Mentor Personal.

Anyone who has an administrator role in Mentor Personal automatically has all permissions; Guard Management, Guard Planner and Staffing

Administration

Anyone who has the admin role in Mentor Personal automatically gets this permission.

The permit also automatically grants permission for Guard Planning and Staffing.

You can:

  • Create, copy, and delete shift
  • Change all guards in the watch calendar and add substitutes
  • Grant and change permissions for other employees

Shift scheduling

This permission also automatically grants you permission for Staffing.

You can:

  • Create new plan
  • Ending existing plan
  • Change shifts that are already on the shift calendar. E.g., insert substitute teacher for an employee who has absence

Staffing

Allows you to make short-term changes to the roster calendar, such as:

  • Placing a substitute in case of absence
  • Moving staff between shifts
  • Change the time of a concrete shift

note: How far forward in time an employee can change shifts is determined by the time constraints set in the system.
