It is recommended that you start by creating a shift plan.
Step 1: Settings
Go to the menu item “Plans”
Click New shift schedule
Fill in the From and To fields to define how long the plan will be in effect. Hint: If the plan is to be ongoing without a fixed end date, you can set a date far ahead in time.
Add a description (optional) If the plan is for a specific period (for example, summer, Christmas tour, etc.), you can write a short description.
Determine intervalfor repetition Here you specify how many weeks will elapse before the plan repeats. For example, if weeks 1, 2, and 3 have a specific rotation, then the same rotation starts again in weeks 4, 5, and 6 — and so on.
Define the number of employees per day Enter how many employees should usually be at work each day.
You can later customize the schedule by adding extra guards on specific days if needed.
Step 2: Fixed shifts
Name the shift if desired
Adjust the times for the different shifts.
For more choice: Tap the three dots to the right of each shift
Attach a permanent employee to the shifts: If an employee has regular shifts every day of the shift (e.g., only early shifts), you can click this option and enter the employee.
Step 3: Shift allocation
The shift allocation to be made in this step is based on the settings you made in steps 1 and 2.
Tap the question mark on the guards to assign a hired guard.
By pressing the times in the guards, you can change the time of individual guards
By pressing the three dots, you bring up several choices for changes of the guard.
After assigning guards, you can Publish roster or Save drafts.
When publishing the roster plan, all employees will see the guards set up in watch calendar
A published roster can be extended by date, copied and deleted., but not edited.
Change plan
In case of need of changes to the roster, there are three choices:
Copy a published shift plan. Here all the information contained in the published plan will be copied and you can make the necessary changes.
Create a new plan
Change the duration
Select Plans in the menu bar and tap the three dots to the right of the plan
